HOST A FOOD DRIVE

The Raleigh Branch of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina serves 13 counties including Duplin, Franklin, Halifax, Harnett, Johnston, Nash, Sampson, Wake, Warren, and Wayne. In these counties, more than 314,680 people live in food insecure households, more than a third of whom are children.

Last year we distributed more than 26.3 million pounds of food to our network of 330 partner agencies in the local community as well as our five other branches. Our Raleigh volunteers served 55,028 hours, the equivalent to approximately 26 full-time employees. To learn more, view our
Raleigh Branch Profile.

For every dollar donated, we can provide 5 meals to people living with food insecurity in our 34 county service area! Make a difference today by donating online or hosting a food drive!

ON THE BLOG

Food Bank CENC Raleigh Branch Blog Post

Seniors, more than any other age group, do not seek help for food assistance. That means that the majority of low-income older Americans in our country do not receive the help available to them, and instead suffer silently in their homes on empty stomachs. Thousands of Seniors Suffer Silently.
